Who We Are
A welcoming church intentionally building relationships with God and others by sharing the love of Jesus, worshipping, and Bible teaching.
Church@109 is located at 109 Heuheu Street in the heart of downtown Taupo, not far from the beautiful lake. We gather together every week, on Sunday, to praise and worship God, to encourage and care for one another, to pray together, to share communion, to present the good news of salvation and to receive instruction from God through the teaching of His Word, the clear message of the Bible.
Children are important at Church@109. We offer a children's program, Kids Under Construction, for ages 2-12 during the sermon. We enjoy connecting as a church family Sunday after services with a cup of tea or coffee in the church cafe and outside activities and play for the kids.
We desire to see our people grow through the Sunday morning messages, small group studies, children's programs, youth groups, conversations with each other, serving together, prayer, pastoral counseling, and personal Bible study. Every person within Church@109 has a special God given role, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Andrew has been our pastor since 2010. We are so blessed to have his wisdom, humility, and consistency helping to lead and encourage our church. His wife Laura and 5 children add so much joy and fun to our community. Andrew enjoys meeting with people or working on his sermons at his favorite coffee shops in town. He also thrives on time outdoors running, cycling, or working in the many gardens in Taupo.
If you'd like to get connected or find out more details about anything at church, Margie is the one to ask. Margie is involved in lots of church communications and coordinating, and she cares deeply about the church, our community, and missions.

Kids Under Construction
Teaching and encouraging children in their faith is very important to us. On Sunday mornings kids ages 2-12 are able to join Kids Under Construction classes after worship and during the sermon. There are 4 different classes offered for the various age groups. They discuss a Bible story, pray together, play, and often do a craft together or sing songs to reinforce the lesson.
Prayer @109: 8:30a, first Saturday of every month.
Join together to pray for our church, our community, our nation, and our missionaries.

1. We support a family who works in a closed country.
2. The Family Centre in Romania was started by Margie in early 2000. TFC was established to help prevent the abandonment of babies and children to orphanages. TFC is a grass roots organization that offers a range of social support services including Day Care for babies up to 5 year olds. The hallmark of TFC is God's Love and it continues to have a big impact in the community of Ramnicu Valcea.
